I'm not necessarily saying Kuori planned the sister since the beginning, than she recycled the design for young Mariya/Xiao/Katya to fit in the flashback.
So a retcontinuity

But you can say she's not her, because the hair are less wavy and shorter.

Before her "canonical" appearance in the short novel Sain Seiya Golden Age,
the minor goddess Astraea had a brief showing in Sakamihara 's doujinshi "Zeus Chapter" .
She was in a couple of illustration and in the short gaiden about Faust de Mars.

When I compared her  with Kuori 's drawing I found a convincing resemblance, imho.


Knowing that ms Kuori is one of the artist who make more references to other media besides kurumanga (TV series, movie, games ... ),
 could she might have taken inspiration from something unofficial; but I think it's well in saint seiya fandom  ??

The fault lies with the author.
Instead of taking a correct transcript of venator  ヴェナトル
she relied on the pronunciation of the word.

But the English spelling, which as I have heard in some foreign videos about gladiators (venator was a class), is pronounced precisely:
vinetoor

But in Latin would have pronounced different.

_ Le Lac du Serment sera gardé par le Revenant du Serment et la Dryade du Serment qui s’appellera sans-doute Horkos. Je pense que Klaus sera ce Revenant et que nous apprendrons qu'il était le Saint de l'Autel (cela fera une référence à Gigantomachia avec ses diacres et son évêque). A condition qu'il soit bien mort. Même si Mii et Klaus n'ont aucun lien entre-eux, je pense qu'il est le meilleur candidat à cause de sa position d'archidiacre qui semble être le second du Sanctuaire et de sa fidélité à Saga et d'un probable serment qu'il lui a fait. Je pense aussi que sa ferait une connexion avec Mii qui est en quelque sorte la seconde de Saori.

But are we sure that he was killed by Saga ? last time I read the manga doesn't seem very much. 

Last time the battle Mii vs Emony the chapter 25 was called "Oath", so I'm a bad feeling ...

Well, Eris isn’t in Kyoko’s body, now.
That was destroyed by Milo in volume 3.

What remain is Kyoko’s soul that joining the godness Eris they ‘re using one of those dummy body which the dryads are using too, I guess.
So Eris ‘s got all the interest in possessing a real body.

For a long time I was thinking that Eris was cheating Shoko, to make her become more powerful and posses her in the very ending of the manga.
But it looks like we’re going for Olivia. A saving for the design, as she’s identical to Kyoko, so we won’t see a different Eris when she’ll be in Olivia.


It’s said Olivia’s got a divine power within, even a better reason for using her body. But I don’t think Eris/Kyoko need the Olivia’s soul for the possession, she’s remain a free spirit and eventually helps Shoko in the battle.

The author of hentai, even the "worst" ones, are man and female with no distinction.
 

If you think it looks more fine in manga, it's because the style of Chimaki is fine and well drawn, in general.
You have to convince me that the page with the nude eris'soul/shoko hugged in the chest with nude kyoko is more softcore, than this scene.

And if that was in the first part of manga, we'll still have nudist Ate in the part adapted in these episodes. With a thin strands of hair falling from the great mountains of ... her breast. 
If you can find a particular meaning beyond fanservice in this scenes.. (no disapproval, it's a manga for Champion red )


The scene in the anime has a symbolism Judaic - Christian.
If you feel uneasy with this scene.. it means the animator has done a perfect job.

The aim is evidently not to represent a nude woman, super provocative, but makes Eris herself a snake, the serpent of the Eden.
The bleu of hair, like the skin of the snakes around, the red lifeless eyes. If you rewatch it, one of few scenes with few "animations", you 'll see a snake moving on the plant.

No, I'm afraid a dressed Eris, or topless with a tissu underwear, it' wouldn't worked the same here.

I'm not gonna explain about the serpent of the Bible, let me say I don't this Saori is the Eve, but retain her role of "Jesus Christ" of the Olympus, the godness that sacrifice herself for the sake of humanity.
And Eris is the tempter satan who ask Athena to be deity and regret her humanity.

That's a different situation though : Candy Candy was created by both Yumiko Igarashi and Kyoko Mizuki, which means they have joint ownership of it (even if they disputed over it, the usual writer vs drawer dispute)

Kuori is working on a IP of which she has now ownership on : Saint Seiya belongs to Kurumada Production, so it's more akind to say, being hired to work on a Marvel or DC comics you know ? Like say, Teshirogi is doing a Batman manga, but she has now ownership of Batman. 

But it's hard to know for sure with authorship doesn't always work the same depending on the country so : who knows ?

Candy was a novel before a manga, so I don’t see much difference.   Igarashi may have been involved in the drafting; the same we know Kuori is developing the story, than Kurumada.
But on the cover we still have the separation Story: / Illustration: in both cases. Which is what it really matters for the copyright.

Well, I ‘d like not to talk about Batman & JL, because it involves a foreign editor that it’d differ very much with the usual contracts in Japan.
But, if you ask me, what is pertinent to story of her manga is still under her controls (shared).
Such as DC can’t use Rui Aramiya (original) in other stories without her agreement, it can’t make a graphic novel/new manga based on the same story.
I won’t expect Kurumada is free to make appear Yuzuriha, RyuhoΩ , Shoko in ND, because he’s not the total owner of this material, although he’s the creator of SS.

But maybe I’m wrong, and that Story:Masami Kurumada means a lot more that we can suspect as a reference to the original author of the spinoff work.  It’s something that guarantee the total management on the work, tomorrow he could hire Kuori and make redrawn the same story to another.
Kyoko Mizuki even tried this way, to make a new manga and eventually produce merchandise on this, surronding the lawsuite with Igarashi, but it didn’t occurr..

In the lawsuit of Candy Candt copyright, the author of the novel and and the illustrator possess the same copyright regarding the opera.

Surely Kuori can't do anything without Kurumada permission; like   Igarashi couldn't produce anything with Toei before obtaining Mizuki's consent. 

But I guess it'd be true the opposite too. If they produce anything derivative based on the manga of saintia sho, the "drawer" Kuori can exercise her veto.

- Seiya ne peut pas avoir sa Pandora Box quand il fait nuit, il l'a laissé chez Saori quand le soleil se couchait juste avant d'aller parler à Miho. Seiya qui parle de sa constellation et qu'il est Seiya de Pégase au premier civil qu'il croise... "un illuminé !"

Ca peut se passer le soir de l'arrivée de Seiya au Japon avant d'aller tranquillement chez Saori au matin et de s'embrouiller avec Jabu et Tatsumi à cette occasion.

Your argument doesn't work, sorry, because when Shoko is at the hospital, the radio speaks the GW are incoming, so the whole scene with Tatsumi,Saori, Seiya, Jabu has occurred yet (when they were announced for the first time)

But in the whole week before the GW begin, Seiya has developed the idea to join the fight, told the intention to Saori:
at this time I don't see any reason for her not giving back the cloth to Seiya.

So this scene with Shoko could take place the night before the fight with Geki, for example.

Entre la V12 Seiya version animé et la tenue du Grand Pope il garde une cohérence par rapport à l'animé ...
Mais la Saori et celle du manga vu qu'elle est au courant...

Bon d'un côté je me dis que Athéna il ne pouvait pas faire autrement...car c'est une partie intégrante et importante du manga de Chimaki le fait qu'elle soit au courant.
D'ailleurs des l'épisode 2 on voit l'importance de ce facteur dans le scénario.

The intention is to have no fillers.

They made that quite clear, given the way they rushed the first episode to cover the whole first volume .

Since the reference to Crystal saint, I thought they were meaning no appearance of filler charaters; but I haven't listen to conference, so I dunno.

No steel saint saving saintia then?  that's bad.


About the number of episode, in this article they say despite the trailer of saintia was shown dubbed in Portoguese at the Comicon, they really didn't started the dub for the series yet, and won't for now.
Because the production of the series in japan is late. (por conta do atraso da produção)
