But he was not fighting against his inner doubts, that was a trick created in that dream to keep him there. Plus that was not a fight at all, Tenma was not even injured by that.

Dark Sisyphos wasn't fresh and new at all.

Kagaho wasn't too, but he was great in Asmita's Gaiden, even if he wasn't "new" it's nice to see elements from the main serialization. The fight with Dark Sisyphos was well developed and was used as the connection with his main story in the manga. Even better, this gave that image of him using a Surplice an origin, he fought and saw that image on the past and he was turning into that in his dream because of the doubts coming out again.

Of course those are opinions, but in the context of the story it was a real challenge for Sisyphos, phisically and mentally.

Kagaho didn't interact at all in the gaiden with the same characters than in the main story. Et he was purely a guest star, Atavaka being the main antagonist (and there was also another "new" enemy with Kagebôshi).

It's not only "hey, I'm just saying hello, fight and good bye".

I like diverse kind of stories.

For me, these gaiden are mainly here to develop the backstories and personalites of the Gold Saints, and also show them in different situations than in the main story.

But that's kind of obvious, since Dark Sisyphos is not a character, is the personification of Sisyphos doubts. No one except him could interact with that.

Kagaho was less important in the gaiden than Asmita, his antithesis Atavaka and the sidekick-witness-simple mortal Ahimsa.

Still was an old character coming back. Even if some character interact with the same, it's not bad depending on the point of doing that interaction.

"Centaur" Specter is the only new enemy in Sisyphos Gaiden and his presence is really minimal.

Just like Kagebôshi, and you used him like a possitive thing in the Anecdote.

For me, these gaiden are mainly here to develop the backstories and personalites of the Gold Saints

I think this one had developed the backstory and personality of Sisyphos more than most of the other Anecdotes do. His relationship with his brother, with Aspros and Rasgado, how he met Ilias, his training, his determination, how he got his Gold Cloth, his feelings inside the Sanctuary, his goals for the future, the origin of his doubts as the trigger, his role as a the oldest Gold Saint, example and leader of the young ones.

I don't think so. Here is the origin of Dark Sisyphos image in the Dream World, the reaction of Sisyphos not knowing how he will trigger the Holy War, and after he already took Sasha away from his family. I don't see that as the same, at least I think it explained why was that Surplice Sisyphos on his dreams.

The second chapter was about his doubts about being a Gold Saint, caused by the people on the Sanctuary, not about triggering the Holy War. This mission starts with that problem, only after he defeated Aspros and Rasgado is introduced the prediction about his dark future and his role in the Holy War.

Je suis d'accord sur le fait que ce Sisyphe là fait très jeune et ce conformément à ce qui se passe dans sa chronique. Mais il a malgré tout des cheveux plus longs sur cette illustration que dans son histoire....
